Mangalore horror story

I am sure everone is aware of the incident tat transpired at a Mangalore club on the Saturday night. I believe it is total attrocity on the part of the so called 'self-proclaimed' 'moral-police' from the supposed Ram Sena.
Agreed that the people engaged in dance and booze were young girls and guys. But what the so called activists engaged is absolute hooliganism. I happened to watch the news being aired by Times NOW and the scenes were just horrific. It is learnt that the police engaged in duty in that area gave a deaf ear to the event. It is nobody's surprise that the police would have been bribed by the pub authorities to keep the party going. But what the activists did was absolutely wrong. What do the activists think of themselves!! If they thought that the ppl engaged in dance were wrong, they should have approached or assaulted the police and not the girls. It is totally against the law. Do these people have the authority to indulge in such activities? If yes, then why didnt they try and correct the wrong doing police officials? Are they scared of them?
Added to the horrendous event, back home, all the elderly feel that wat the activists did was absolutely right. They say,"Very Good, these girls have to be treated like that! What do they think of themselves? What kind of parents these children have! Havent they instilled in them some culture?................" This is absolutely ridiculous. How do they know abt what exactly happend.? How do they know what their families are like? They should not jump to a conclusion just because Times NOW is airing them candidly. Some thought and analysis should go into it and not jus a stereotypical opinion.
What the Ram Sena activists should have done is bring the corrupt police officials to book and assaulted them if they had the guts. But they preferred to inflict harm to the 'innocent' youth that were engaged in party. Such social activists should be brave enough to correct the erroneous admistration of the coutry. Much acclaim would go to them if they took a step in this direction and not otherwise. Else, they would only accumulate hate and curse from a wide populus of the country's youth.

  1. Most agree with your statement "Such social activists should be brave enough to correct the erroneous administration of the country. Much acclaim would go to them if they took a step in this direction and not otherwise.". But the whole irony is that they are not social activists at all - they're just goons who have no work n education n are basically doing all this just to take out the frustration. This was inevitable one day as indian administration has always closed its eyes to such a eventuality. Most of our country is poor n how long can they simply accept their fates? What we need is as you said - end to corruption and start of proper distribution of work n in turn money. If these people get work that can keep them busy, such things may just never happen.
